Very informative, thank you Mr. Re-Pete, you beat Cagey and TFS to the punch!
But I'm guessing what I'm envisioning in my mind is nigh impossible.
Everyone claims they have what you can't find on the racks, but it's all just talk.
I guess I gotta just 'man-up' and deal with the limitations that the previous generation of guitar players dealt with.
Makes me respect what they did all that more.

*EDIT: The funny thing though...is one time I used a buddy's Fender Strat, a step up from squire, to save some wear and tear on my own gear. So I go to a jam with some friends whom I perceived as not being as serious as I (at the time). Well, I plugged in straight, no pedals, just stock passive s/s/s pups into loud tube amp clean. It was great. That combo did everything I needed it to do, from a "rescued" start (from neglect) and a pushed Tube amp. So maybe I don't need those EMG's IDK.
