I'm working another guitar project and I want your opinions.  I don't want to give too much away at this stage (Dont tell 'em Max), so.........

Metallic dark blue (not a W finish, I'll do it) with a white guard, or a black guard?

...and for the record, are we talking big shingles of silver in the metallic (think 70's) or the modern
'dust'-sized metallic for a subtle (but still clearly metallic) mineral-like hue?

Walk into an Guitar Center anywhere and count the white pickguards...

Count the Flame Maple tops while you're at it.  Doesn't automatically make it trashy.  Since 1954. most of them have been white.
