after I test the  Lollartron pickup I plan to use on other guitar , I find it more suitable for vintage tone , I order a set of Bare Knuckle Black Dog humbucker(neck) + 'Rebel Yell'(bridge) humbucker , fit with this tele's look and tone.

That looks all kinds of bad ass.

Love to see how you did the fret ends.

Looking good.

Execpt from the "watermark" on all your pictures?  :icon_scratch: Are you from Tonga?

no ,  the " TO " is my Chinese family's name , a descendent of great Tang dynasty poet . so this domain names is just like my name.

Most fret edge buffer are done by small Fret File with a special shape to slowly filed it out, I have a strong handicraft skill and steady hand to using the power tools, so I'm using an electric  rotary sander to do this procedure, not encouraged for people who are unstable with hand-held power tool , to try the following practices:

The first step protect it with adhesive tape outside the frets

cut out of thin sheet metal from canning lid, and then cut a notch and file polished it smoothly .

After bent the piece of sheet metal to protect the edge of neck. can do the  rough grinding on fret edge with small electric rotary sander

after rough edges grinding, protect sheet metal will hinder the final meticulous dresser,  under this situation we should do meticulous minor filleted corner sanding in the absence of the protection, to avoid damage to the fingerboard edges, you need a very steady hand , which is a challenge for hand-held power tool . After finishing filleted corner, use the finest sandpaper do the preliminary polishing.

A bit confusing if you don't know the background.

TT: Good work!  :icon_thumright:

I sorry about  "watermark" on my pictures , I post this on some China forum too , they don't pay
attention to intellectual property rights .

final polishing can easily be done by angle grinder with buffing polishing wheels disc , only the hand can get exhausted easily .

Finally, use a wet clean cloth to wipe off dirt

You still gotta polish up the rest of the fret!
That's why it's in 'A Work in Progress' section

AWESOME....I almost had to change my shorts after I saw that!

Suggestion...if you can color the interior of the Floyd prep area black.  I think it really helps with the appearance of the prep area.  Any decent automotive touch up paint works.  I have even see some use a black sharpie.

I has plan that , to print exposed wood in the matching color for the appearance of the prep area , I suggest do this on wood mount pickup rout too, it also sealing the exposed wood from damp conditions.

Yep that'll do it.  :icon_thumright:

Shellac is a good choice too for that Tiger Eye finish. Well that's what I used.
