A bunch of Vintage Tele clips

Rob was kind enough to loan me his Warmoth parts Vintage Tele.  First off, nice guitar.  Nice lightweight swamp ash body with an all maple neck (SRV contour, I believe).  He's got it strung up with .011's (which makes my poor little .009's hands weep), with a custom made pickup by Lynn Collins.  This thing is pretty awesome.  Somehow (and I'm not an electronics guy, so it's magic to me), he's got it set up so that with the push of a push/push pot, the output on the pickup goes WAY up.

But enough about the guitar.  Here are some clips:

First off, a dirty rhythm track, recorded straight into a Marshall Class 5 amp:

Next is a cleaner rhythm track, into the same amp:

Next is a quick lead clip.  Please, excuse the sloppiness.  I'm REALLY not used to the big ol' strings on this thing:

And finally, because Rob said to give it a shot, a full-on metal-ish rhythm track using my Carvin V3M head:

In all of these clips, I would play a part, then click the pickup into the full output mode, and play the same clip.  No overdrive or boost pedals were used.  This is all the pickup.  Pretty amazing, I think.

Let me know what y'all think!  :toothy12:

Sounds Great! ...... then again you are a great player! ......  Have fun .... but bring it back soon... ha ha ha

Thanks, guys.  I have to admit, that freaking pickup is sick.  There's not a lot that can't be done with it.  Good score, Rob!  :headbang1:
