Hi all.  :help: please ....
I'm having second thoughts  :icon_scratch:  on the pickups on this 'EmuBird' / Firebird

1st said I was going to use Humbuckers ... Gibson 500T (B) & 496R (N)   

Sort of thinking now of .... Seymour Duncan 'Pearly Gates' (B) & SD Alnico II Pro (N) ... both in zebra

(Just to give you an idea of what I like + have)
I have a Gibson LP with Burstbucker Pros & SG 61' Reissue with 57 Humbuckers, Both sound great !!
I really like the sounds / tones out of all the SD Hot / Cold / Vintage rails & the Dimebucker & 59' Model, used so far.
Am using a Gibson Dirty Fingers with some SD's Lil 59' & Screamin' Demon in #3 Strat getting built.

Any thoughts ?

I'm leaning to the SD's because i'm worried that the Gibson ones are ceramic & not real good comments, about that combo about the place.

Personally I would go for Bare Knuckle Pickups "The Mule" Basically a replica of the vintage PAF pickup, great tone. I only had a Pearl Gates once, in the neck position, but I remember liking it. This was around four years ago maybe. Personally I would not recommend the Gibson pickups. Bare Knuckle make some excellent pickups, but they're quite expensive.

EDIT: To break away from traditional stuff, Lindy Fralin P92s (split single coil P90 in a humbucker slot) sound incredible. Worth looking into Lindy Fralin as well, if you haven't already. It all depends what you're going for. I don't know what style you play, but those are some pickups I would look into.
