Well, I finally got around to taking some pictures of the new medium scale J bass. The specs are as follows:
Alder body (sub 4 lbs) with Black-Brown-Yellow burst
Canary/Pau Ferro neck with Warhead headstock
SD Classic Stack for Jazz Bass pickups
Audere preamp
Gotoh 201 bridge
Schaller BML light bass tuners

The bass is super comfortable and has a great sound. Now I want a medium scale P bass!

Is that a 21 fret short scale J?

I lost all interest whatsoever in the short scales because they only were available with 20 fret necks. Warmoth does 21 fret short scale necks now? (Or did I miss an announcement somewhere?)

Very nice piece of Canary there!

This is the 'medium scale' (32"), which has 21 frets. There is a little bit of fretboard overhang. I believe the 'short scale' (30") necks are only 20 frets. I was torn about which way to go at first, but I thought everything looked more proportional with the 32" scale, and they had 32" necks in canary. I'm very happy with the decision.

Thanks,
-Bobbie

Very noice!!! :headbang:

I love 32" and a Jazz in that scale would really make my day!

And the list grows yet again...... :-\
