Are 3 Ply pickguard's good? I hope they are I just order a mint green 3 Ply Pickguard I'm getting in to this a little more now and can not wait until I get to order the body and start to work on it.The color I pick out is Antique Jade I did a tes on some wood I had here and love it.I'm just killing time here and having fun or trying to have fun what ever lol.Today is a messy day here not bad but not that great either so no better time to do so work on a few things here that need's to be done. :glasses10:

Everything has been on a Telecaster. Single ply with no bevel and fewer screws is more vintage correct. Multi ply, though many think looks cheap, has more processes and materials involved. So there's that.
Well I have one of three Telecaster pick guard here it's mint green it looks pretty good but I want to see what the cream one looks like first to see witch one I like better with the color Antique Jade I think the cream color will look better.I have so many part's on order here it's not funny lol. :dontknow:

Every aspect of pickguard specification is personal preference, until you want to be period correct. When that is the case, you cite the specifics of what you are looking for. In any case, note that the thickness of a pickguard is not determined by the number of plies from which it is constructed. Warmoth very clearly specifies which of their pickguards are 0.09" thick, and which are 0.06" thick. AFAIK, all multi-ply options are only available in 0.09" thickness. This is good for stability, because thin pickguards tend to warp over time.
Also note that a thinner multi-ply would not make too much sense, as there is not enough material to get a good bevel, and hence, the edges of 0.06" pickguards are usually cut at a 90 degree angle. If you were to cut a 90 degree edge on a multi-ply, you would not be able to see the plies unless you were looking from the side.

Single ply material (e.g. pearloid) is more likely to warp vs. its multi-ply brethren.
