2nd Time Warmoth Has Done This...

This is the second time that when placing an order with Warmoth, they told me "5 weeks" and the order shipped in 3 weeks.

Hmmm....'Think they like to under-promise and over-deliver??

I have also experienced this atrocity of grossly inaccurate customer expectations!  They said up to 5 weeks, it shipped in less than 3.  What an OUTRAGE!  :icon_jokercolor:

They've done this to me as well. In fact on the last 4 pieces I've ordered they all got here a few weeks early. I was fuming mad.  :icon_jokercolor:

Yup , All three orders I placed with them did the exact same thing.
The audacity they have, providing great service....

It was actually a minor concern when they shipped my bass neck last spring - I was out of town for a week and I was worried the man in brown would leave it on my porch, where it would be out in Puget Sound humidity for 3 days!  Fortunately, I had a pal with my house keys to slip it inside.

The next time I order, I'll be sure to keep this in mind.  It's unlikely to cause a problem in most cases, but it could be for those that will be out of town & no one to receive the package.

Don't tease me!!!!! Did anyone get an email from Warmoth or UPS letting them know of their soon to be delivered package? They told me 7 to 8 weeks..... It's 7 weeks today, but it was a special hand selected order. I read this thread 2 weeks ago & can't keep from looking out my window all day.Why do you tease me soooooo.

Yep, Yep and Yep. I just ordered a custom Pao Ferro/Pao Ferro with the turquoise dots and SS frets. The Big W had the audacity to provide a beautiful piece and a whole week early! Where do they get the nerve???

I'm with you though KK. When I got that email from UPS I was constantly checking the front porch to see if it had arrived yet. Tick, tick, Tick.... ARRGH!

I am at a month today on a showcase item getting paint... I think they said 4-5 weeks for that, so still within projected lead-time... then again, I had a few add-ons a few days after the initial order was placed; which put my paper back to square-one, from what I understand.  :doh:

Keep in mind my parts were shipped raw. Paint takes time; especially for curing. You may not get items like that early.

Yeah, I'm just now entering the short end of the projected lead-time window, I'm at peace with the fact that it may be another week until it gets buffed and shipped. *gritting teeth*
