I don’t know why I have such a hard time with this. I thought using it in the gun would be better than the experience I had with the Spraymax rattle cans, but had the same issue. I guess it’s solvent pop, but I did everything correctly from what I have seen. I tried sanding it off without messing up the dye, but……

I worked on that burst for a week to get it right, very disappointing. Guess I’ll just use Nitro on it next time. Even with taking a dang month to finish it just always goes down so nice for me.IMG_0027.jpeg

Sorry man! Acrylic poly?

Why not just use nitro lacquer in a can?
As long as your base codes are stains and other nitro compatible products. Nitro is probably one of the easiest finishes to spray at home.

I’ve been using Nitro, and recently started using it in the gun after getting my equipment. That’s what I’m using on my Surf Green build, Oxford Primer, color and clear - all nitro. I love working with nitro and it goes down great, but just wanted to try a more ‘modern’ finish that’s more durable and doesn’t take 200 coats…..😀. And that you don’t have to wait 3 weeks before buffing/polishing.

On one hand I understand the desire to try new but after years of trying new I just keep going back to the ease of nitro.

Well Mama only thought Foosball was the Devil. 2K is the actual Devil !!! Man, you can feel, smell, and taste the evil in it even when sanding it off, even with a respirator.

I swear there was a Devil figure in the finish just taunting me.......
