25.5 bound necks with no overhang

I’d love to see Warmoth start making 25.5in scale necks that don’t require overhang for binding. Jazzmaster, and 12 string necks require 22 frets and an overhang for binding. (I haven’t checked strat or tele necks)

What makes me wonder why the overhang is required, is that jag/mustang necks don’t require overhang to allow binding. Is it a legal thing?  :icon_scratch:

And yes I emailed sales of it was possible, it’s a no go

It is to conform with Fender dimensions for heels for replacement necks and bodies. If you made a 22 fret neck without overhang the heel pocket in a body needs to also change and go closer towards the bridge.

As for what requires overhang or not for binding its probably a manufacturing process restriction or parameters for Warmoth of what is possible/viable.
