24 fret extension on Dinky J body?

Hi you guys, quick question for my first Warmoth build

Is it possible to proficiently use the upper frets on a 24 fret Dinky J bass, or will the extension just be in the way when adjusting the trus rod since the adjustment nut is in the neck pocket? I will obviously get the contoured heel regardless

A quick google search brought up the picture below. Although the frets will be useable you won't be able to access to them as fast as you would a bass that had been designed to have a 24 fret neck.

And going by the picture on the Warmoth site I think you're going to have to remove it to adjust the truss rod which is going to be a bit of a hassle
