24 frets and truss rods

Hi, I'm planning a custom build and was wondering how does choosing an extended fretboard in a 24 fret version could affect the truss rod adjustment, and if it performs any different than the regular 21. I like a low action and love the modern truss rods on basses which you can adjust on the go. Also I was considering the graphite stiffening rod option too. Any pointers?
Thanks!

I'm not sure I'd worry about it on a bass. There's so much mass to the strings that a couple thousandths here and there are often overcome by the necessity of a higher action to prevent bouncing off the fretboard. Adding a fret or two isn't going to change much.

On 6 stringers, those who want wicked close action will sometimes grind in some "fall away", which is just a lower grind on the frets south of about #15 or so. The truss rod has little effect in that area, so you need to compensate in other ways. I'm not sure that sort of thing is necessary or effective on a bass. Your ears will tell you (or your tech).
