So, after stringing it up with a GFS p90 in the neck and a Roadhouse A2 in the bridge, I have it apart to swap out the Roadhouse for another p90, I think.  I love that pickup in another guitar much more.

I'm thinking short chrome dome knobs, they're 250k volume/tone btw.  Any comments/advice?  That's a W sale neck I've tried on Tele bodies in the past, but I think this is its new home.

That looks good.  Thought about TV Jones pups?
Plus ONE, TV's are awesome sounding. I'm going to try a set of English mounts in "Billy Bo". GFS has some good sounding pups, but the TV's are better.... :icon_thumright:

Very nice!  Is this your raffle build?

Nope.  Waiting on the neckplate from Doug and my digital camera back from my brother.  It's starting to make me insane waiting, to be honest.

Yep TV Jones pups are brilliant. A friend has a set of Powertons (with the Powertron plus neck PUP) in his Epiphone DOT-335. They have a strong midrange presence and high output, while still retaining bass-note clarity with a bit of twang.

I'm seriously considering a TV Jones pickup to be honest.  I'm concerned with how it will look, lol.

I just ran into an issue that I've encountered before with non-W bodies, which is that the 3 play guard presses up on the fretboard overhang, so I'm taking it to my luthier tomorrow so that he can show me how to properly shim the neck.

Is Anastasia some kind of anagram for "all my friends at the forum who paid for this guitar" ?

We may never know the meaning of "Anastasia"  :laughing7:

Sure we do. It's what the doctors use when they don't want you to feel what they're doing to you. There's "general anastasia" for when they wanna knock you out altogether, then there's "local anastasia" for when they just wanna numb up your toe or somethin'. Of course, that's over-simplifiying the whole thing; there's a lot more to it. So, some doctors specialize in it there, and they're called "Anastasiologists". (They're hip to all the best dope.)

Question for ya - what are you planning to use for string trees?

I still have an annoying string pop-out problem with my fender XII, even with staggered tuners.

I'm just experiencing it myself.  I wound the strings a TON in hopes that it would help, but ugh.  What string tree/bar options there might be was actually on my list of things to look into.  What were you thinking?
