Woo hoo. MIL gave me a sizeable gift card to GC.  I'm at a weird place on drum stuff, where I really only need a throne and crash, but any real cymbals I get are going into the spare bedroom for a while (to protect them and my sons hearing). 

So now a used Eleven Rack is making its way to my house, courtesy of GC and MIL. Good to be spending money on something I can sound good with instead of just more tools to embarass myself for the time being. Now back to RLLRLRRLRLLRLRRL until it gets here.

Got a tracking number. that's a relief because I inquired about another used item and was told it had sold, even though it was still available for purchase on the website.

Anyone got favorite JCM800 patches?

I've found that other people's patches don't generally work out as well as you might expect. Seems like a good idea, and for educational reasons they can be, but in use they usually are made with different guitars, cables, amps, speakers, players, etc. so they don't translate well. Not a rule, of course, just an observation.

Incidentally, I know this is the wrong thread, but I've got a brand-spankin' new Ground Control Pro from Voodoo Labs that's programmed specifically for the 11Rack. I sold my 11Rack, so I won't use it. If you're interested, send me a PM.

Thanks. I'll keep it in mind. I was honestly planning to pretend this was a 5 knob NMV Marshall with a really good power brake instead of some gee-whiz multifx-recording-doodad capable of syncing your chorus modulation to the orbits of Juptiers moons as seen from Venus. At any rate, the toy budget is drained for a while.

And it even has the expansion pack installed. My Carvin PB100 is also for sale. I had thought ahould I ever get one that I might build a 112FR and a compact 215 basically two of the 1.7ft^3 Eminence Delta 15 (I think). For use as either amp or stage monitor. Now I'm wondering why. I think the 215 had. something to do With getting more power out of my Carvin's limited amp.

Congrats. It's a killer unit. If you get the chance try it with a Yamaha DXR 10 active monitor (with the internal dsp switched off). That should fulfill any wishes for guitarspeaker-like punch.

I kinda need  a cabinet cabaple of running bass guitar as well. The little box I built actually does about 66 Hz and it totally rocks for classic P-bass, so I may just throw a horn on it. It's pretty danged small for a 15, f3 = 66 Hz, Vb=1.7ft^3, 98 db 1w/1m. 150W, It just needs a tweeter for guitar since it only goes to about 2k.

BTW. The JCM800 rocks. Dime the master. Set the gain to 6 gets the breaking glass crunch tight rhythm. Crank the gain up and it actually gets darker. This is incredibly useful. And different from the pedals. Can i put the actual gain knob setting on a control? How fast is rig switching?
