Its interesting for sure.  The finish is not quite "clear", has some bit of tint to it.  Not complaining, but my "clear gloss" Tele Thinline is much lighter.  You can see the woods are about the same in the neck pocket, but the finish is just "darker" on the Jazz Bass.  And that's not a bad...

At one point...  Five teles, two strats, two es333, two lp, three sg, one guild s100, other solid bodies i cant even remember like danelectro and kay, some tacoma acoustics, a ovation Adams, every blackface fender except the vibroverb, a few tweed champs, a blues jr, my own 5f4s, and a reverb...

I have new surf green tolex 5e3 cabinet and old original c12q that needs to be chassified, and I want to build a bass amp.  But... My 5f4 is turning out to be pretty good as a bass amp, so it nay just get another 2x10 cabinet to go with it.  Dunno. Play as much as I can I suppose.  I'm old...

I got my last guitar, last bass.  Two more amps to finish tho

Neck slid in fine tonight ...whew

Well.... The neck came in.  Nut a bit off center, and... great jeebs... does not fit in the pocket of the Warmoth body. Straight down, no fit.  Measured about .008 too fat at the heel, as best I could measure with my good Mititoyo calipers.  Its dry here, AC on, so dunno if that will effect...

Body 100 percent wired, tested, everything done.  So its the neck wait now. Goncalo neck, stainless frets, Tele bass peghead, black tusq nut.  Basically the same as the Thinline I just built. Ought to be in Monday.  Gotta fill, level and gloss nitro the front of the peghead, apply decal, melt...

A few little foibles.  Bridge screw holes were too big for the Fender size screws. :(  No problem, the ol' TightBond and hardwood toothpick trick fixed that.  The Warmoth pickguard didn't quite match the Fender control plate's angle where they meet, and again... a bit of blackening on the...

Maybe so Cagey.  Then again you can say the same about a guitar.  And... how limber the neck is seems to be more of a sustain effecting feature.  I'll be sitting, 99 out of 100 times... crap... out of 1000 times I play bass anyway. Gotta open up the string ferrule holes to accept Fender ferrules...
