Its hard to say, I didn't like quarter pounders. The bass I'm working on now has 18v barts and 9J1 jazz pups so I'll see how they are.

I think it look cool just the way it is, all old and vintage. maybe just get some tuners or pickguard.

Ya, after talking to warmoth custom shop, they said they'll do it. Its going to cost me $90- $100 more for the thinner neck. They told me .820 at first fret was as thin as they would go.

I got the pickguard from greasygrooves.com, they make them. I like the pickguard with the birdseye... All EYES on her right. lol I have a custom neck coming in too. Its birdseye with a tele headstock. I had them make a thinner neck. I wanted .770 at first fret but settled for .820. Still thinner...

Ya it may be the reason I go somewhere else for a neck. I hate chunky bassball bat bass necks...lol

SkuttleFunk, have you tried bartolini 9J1 or something like them?

Anybody think there should be different profiles for bass necks? This is the only thing stopping me from buying a neck from warmoth right now. www.musikraft.com has that option but they don't have other options. Man..dude

Guitar Players can pick different types of neck contours to fit their style. Bass players are stuck with one option, CHUNKY! There needs to be more bass neck contours. I have a Ibanez SoundGear and I can fly on that neck because its so thin. So there is different bass necks just like guitar...
