Lighter sting gauge gives better sound

My only problem with that video, watched it the other day, was them using the term "better". Sound/Tone is subjective. What sounds better to one may not sound better to another. I personally use a hybrid .009 - .046. Light top/heavy bottom. You gotta find what sounds best to you. MULLY

Question to all the LSR Roller nut players

The strings don't know if they're going through bone, plastic, locking, or roller. That should have zero effect as far as playability goes. Ok, it MIGHT, very doubtful, at the first fret, but, after that, nah, shouldn't have anything to do with it. MULLY

Got my vote in. All of them are great, one of them jumped right at me and said "Take me home with you". Best of luck to all. MULLY

The MULLY Telecaster is Ready for Action!!

These things are an optical illusion when the camera gets them. The photos don't actually show how big they really are, you can't really appreciate their size until you're looking right at them, then you're like "Damn, those are huge!!" Anyway, I did my best to try and give some perspective...

The MULLY Telecaster is Ready for Action!!

So, over the course of about 4.5 hours Ito san and I got her together and I was able to take her home. This is the first time I've owned a Telecaster. I'll be honest, I wasn't 100% sure if getting a Telecaster was the right decision....until I got this together and actually got to sit down with...

    MULLYcaster Build

Well, all the parts had arrived and were ready to go. Most of the parts came from Warmoth, but, some of them I ordered from a place here in Japan. The bridge is a good example, because Warmoth didn't carry the exact bridge that I wanted. Anyway, as it's been said a dozen times already, this was...

MULLY Telecaster...This neck!! Oh my God, this neck!!!

Just one of my quirks. My very first build, I wasn't paying attention to what I was doing and I put the sticker on upside down. I was concentrating on getting it straight and didn't even notice that it wasn't the right way. Once I peeled it off and looked at it I was like "Oh shit! Look what I...

MULLY Telecaster...This neck!! Oh my God, this neck!!!

Ok, so we got the body in order, now it's time for a neck. My original idea was for an ebony fingerboard, but, I really wanted to try a roasted neck. One thing though, I did not want a Telecaster head. Sorry, Tele guys, not a fan of that headstock. But, I also thought that a Strat head look too...

    The MULLY Telecaster is Alive!!

As Aaron has already said, I got the center pup cavity for any possible bug up my ass to go with 3 pups. All it will take is a new scratch plate. All of my Warmoth guitars, with the exception of my Van Halen Frankenstein, have been routed HSH, I know I'll never want a full sized humbucker in the...

    The MULLY Telecaster is Alive!!

This will be a series of posts. So, as you may know already, my wife gave me free run inside Warmoth to build a guitar for my 50th birthday. Seeing as how this is a milestone in life, I wanted something that would look the part. An everyday Strat wasn't going to do it for this one, it had to be...
