No, I don't have a JEM body to trace and see if it fits :( From what I could tell one of the horns wouldn't be able to fit, which really isn't a problem because I can just put a chunk of wood there. Thanks for the help
For my birthday, I recieved a big chunk of lacewood/leopardwood. I was wondering if it was big enough for me to make my own JEM body out of it. The dimensions are 17x13x2. If one of the horns doesn't fit or something then that's fine, because I have extra wood that I can put there.
thanks
Naw, this is the real version of the JEM for 2009. By real I mean, it's not the cheap version of the JEM and from what I've heard it's gonna go for about the standard price as 7VWH would. The bridge is called a "tight end".
.
It's supposed to give you more precise adjustments or something.
I'm doing it for the looks. After the sandpaper and filing it doesn't look so hot :toothy12:
And lemon oil? Like....the stuff you can find in the food section of Wal-Mart? ???
I recently scalloped an old neck from a junker guitar and I was wondering how to finish it? I know absolutely nothing at all about finishing things :toothy11:
Anyway, it's a rosewood fretboard and I picked up two cans of something the guy in the store said might work. One is called Minwax Wood...
These two quotes have summed up pretty much everyone's thoughts on the instrument that I have seen. I like the idea of a hardtail myself, but that logo....man, that logo.....that thing just kills the entire guitar for me.
Here's the '09 version.
