Help on finishing

I recently scalloped an old neck from a junker guitar and I was wondering how to finish it? I know absolutely nothing at all about finishing things  :toothy11:

Anyway, it's a rosewood fretboard and I picked up two cans of something the guy in the store said might work. One is called Minwax Wood Finish Special Walnut 224, and the other is Minwax water-based Polycrylic protective finish Clear Satin.

Any help would be awesome. If I left essential info out, and I likely did, please tell me! Thanks

I'm doing it for the looks. After the sandpaper and filing it doesn't look so hot  :toothy12:

And lemon oil? Like....the stuff you can find in the food section of Wal-Mart?  ???

I dunno, but I wouldn't

Rosewood requires no finish, you can apply a little Danish oil/Teal oil/Furniture oil if it's tres dried out.
