I have 2 warmoth vintage modern strat necks (a third on the way) that came with corian nut (1 11/16). Both were cut very well - no binding up or pinging when tuning/bending. (One guitar has a hard tail and the other a vintage trem) I find that the spacing is even, aligned properly and the depth...
Good to hear that you got it straightened out...
I too play quite a bit unplugged at night (after the kids bedtime) and find it much more enjoyable when my guitars sound balanced. Not too mention - I find that I focus better on certain techniques (bends and legato) when playing unplugged.
As...
yes... I agree with you. I feel it is important to get a guitar sounding good unplugged - I believe that is key to a great guitar.
I am certainly just a hobbyist builder and player - but If you are just experience weak sounding notes ONLY around the 12th fret high E,B &G - might suggest the...
Hello to all,
Been awhile, but today I have just decided to order my third Warmoth product.
I have previousl ordered a strat replacement neck for 94 MIM strat (maple/rosewood compound std thin with stainless 6105),
AND a complete warmoth strat (alder in Tobacco with Q-sawn maple std thin...
Thanks
You are probably right.... As much as I would like to save a little money - when you figure the amount of work and the time required to get it right for an amateur like me.... it is probably worth the cost to have professionally finished by warmoth....
Good Morning to all,
I am contemplating building a Mahogany Telecaster and am thinking that I want a clear satin finish (natural)
I have finished 2 guitars in the past but they were not mahogany bodies
My questions are:
How many coats/applications of grain filler? (water base or oil) - I...
Thanks everybody....
She plays pretty good.
The tech I took it too did not take the time to work the neck/body pocket fit. As a result, the saddles height were max'd outout.
I leveled the neck out and shimmed to get the neck to seat lower into the body and enable me to lower the saddle...
Thanks for the feedback!
I have experience building (assembling) various strat like parts together to make a guitar. I have painted, sheilded, soldered, drilled, etc.
The guitar I play most is a yamaha pacifica with stewMac neck (which took much work to obtain 25.5 scale as the neck was not a...
OK
I recently received a warmoth strat body and vintage modern neck for a complete build.
I took the guitar to a tech. He assembled and bitched about the neck pocket fit - "These should fit better - I shouldn't have to sand - blah blah blah.
I picked up the guitar Saturday - played great...
Looks really nice.....
I dig the white on white and the subtlety of the stripe :headbang:
How does that 59 sound in the bridges?
Does it have humbucker heft? (fat)
I have always wanted to try that 59 pu in a strat?
unique design!
Kurt
Thanks....
I went back to their website and read that after posting..... but it's nice to get real world reply to you own situation.
Man, this oversight is costing me about 100 bucks........
I will be selling a Vintage bridge AND graphtech ferraglide saddles soon on ebay......
if anybody is...
HI
OK .....
I know that the narrow strat bridge has a tighrt string spread....
It appears that the vintage style string spread (2 1/4) may prove to be a little too much for my taste (OOPs - should have given more thought before I ordered and built, right????)
Anyway, according to their...
congrats! on what looks like a beautiful guitar!
I love the grain on the body & natural binding! I have never seen that much detailed grain on an ebony fret board....
