i had some custom pickups mad for my KDS jass bass from reedjamescustom.com  and did not cost me a arm and a leg and sound killer its best if you can talk to Reed James i will never go back to using standard pickups again now that i have discover them

wow you guys relay are judgmental. I think his site rocks . he has some covers and rings on eBay looks like a killer deal to me,  I  want a set of them P-90 covers. I sent him an email  asking him if thy would fit on PRS P-90s he must be real busy still has not answered me yet ...

if you need a strat style I think you can have one custom made from reedjamescustom.com , and I think you can have the original rewound too, I heard that thy rewind pickups. that will be the cheapest way to go, I friend of mine had  a single coil rewound and it only cost him $30 but please dont...

I would go with active as well Seymour Duncan live wire set  , I have an axe I set up with old school  kaler trim and live wires. and thy are very high out put and great for death mettle  but also have a nice clean tone  when I back off the volume

Owning a set of Reed James woodbuckers my self I am sold , Reed tends to think the wood improves the tone. I am not sure but the tone of my woodbuckers are amazing. My email conversations when I order my pickups, he informed me that deferent woods produce slightly deferent tones . all that aside...
