I really like Seymour Duncan pickups. I have the JB in two of my guitars in the bridge position and I couldn't be happier with it. And I agree with you DbU, the jazz pickup in the neck is a great choice. I have that in my main guitar (my Warmoth build, VIP) and it sounds awsum. Very clean...
Nice lookin' axe. I love the billowy look of the quilt on that guitar and the blue finnish really helps to bring it out.
You'll have to let us know how those alumin-a-buckers sound...
Congrats... :occasion14:
Not a big fan of the tele either, but damnnnn. What a bad question to ask on this board.....
Not a very good way to make friends and influence people around here...
Aww hell! Now I don't know what to decide.
Another question that I have about the hot plate is how do you decide on which ohm hot plate to get? Do you match it to your speaker(s) or what??
Yea, I know....That's what this little guy was for ( :icon_jokercolor:)
Most of us here have a rather warped sense of humour that's not usually viscious....usually... :laughing8:
Thanks guys... from what I've read here I am assuming that while you can acheive a full tube crunch at more workable volume levels the end result is that the volume is still pretty substantal. I was hoping that I'd be able to get that great Marshall tube saturated crunch at relatively low...
Just wondering if any one out there has had any experience with the hot plate attenuators by THD. I've been considering trying to pick one up but have been unable to find any one who has had any experience with them... Any feedback would be appreciated...Thanks in advance
Full size Seymour Duncan JB. I had a single coil stack JB in there and took it out. I also tried a lil 59er, screamin demon single coil and a dimarzio hs4, but they all sounded a bit too "thin" to my ears. For me, if you wanna go for a humbucker you gotta go for the full size ones...Just me tho
