So… I’m going to be “that guy”

    1. Bummer. 2. Didn’t realize Warmoth didn’t roast their own woods. Makes sense why it’s limited to only a few types now. 3. Looking forward to this becoming available again. Thanks for responding Aaron.

So… I’m going to be “that guy”

… with yet another (probably futile) attempt at influencing the next big thing at Warmoth. 1. More 7/8 body options. Soloist in particular. 2. More roasted wood options. Roasted mahogany in particular. 3. The return of the unique choice for lam tops in the custom builders. I get it that it...

What size block for Schaller trem for body with recessed Floyd

I personally have had issues with 37mm blocks with a recessed FR route. I always use a 37mm for top mount and 32mm for recessed mount.

What new product or feature would be in your Christmas list for Warmoth to introduce in 2024?

I would imagine just slightly smaller, like the Strat and Tele 7/8 bodies are. Sort of like the Warren DiMartini snakeskin Charvel. Same body shape as a soloist, just a bit smaller.

What new product or feature would be in your Christmas list for Warmoth to introduce in 2024?

7/8 soloist body. Really want to build with a 7/8 neck. Being a Gibson guy for most of my playing days, I prefer the shorter scale, and really want to do a 24 fret build. But the Tele and Strat 7/8 bodies just look goofy to me.

    Pickguard screw holes

I guess I’ve been lucky to this point. Years of playing, messing with, and building guitars, and I’ve never had to fill and re-drill screw holes for a Strat pickguard… until now. So, for those of you who have, are there any products you recommend, or recommend against using for this? Your input...

    Warmoth satin nitro finish question

That will work just fine. All of my warmoth necks have been satin finish, and I used gloss over the headstock decals. I prefer the look of gloss on the headstock, but the feel of satin on the back of the neck (and fretboard if maple).

New video: 22 vs 24 Neck Position Shootout

I haven't heard that song in YEARS! Hey Alexa... play the Escape album by Journey! Great video Aaron. I was literally just kicking around the idea of another body and neck order, and was contemplating getting a 24 fret neck. Think I'll stick with a 22 fret neck.

New Strat build about to get started!

Roasted swamp ash body, maple neck with ebony fretboard and M.O.P. dots. Ordered on 11/22/2021, arrived today. So, 8 weeks and 2 days. Pretty fast if you ask me, and not a flaw to be found. No finish on either. I'll spray a light coat of nitro on the neck. Stoked!

Floyd nut shelf cut too low

I have ordered several Warmoth necks with FR nut shelves cut. I have ordered necks this way from other companies as well. They ALL needed a nut shim, sometimes two shims. I only use original FR R2 nuts (not the 1000 series or the Special series). But, there are so many on the market from FR and...
