strat pickguard on a tele body...

oh SWEET!  Thanks, GoDrex  :occasion14: I am gonna build it.  except, mine will have EMG SAV pickups, because that's what I've got sitting around.

strat pickguard on a tele body...

I've got this idea...has anyone tried/seen it before?  I'm hoping to see some pictures if anyone has.  Strat pickguard on a tele body...not a nashville.  Of course, I'd use some sort of strat type bridge (I've got fender deluxe 2-point trem in my workshop).

What is the best Tele bridge?

I removed the tele bridge, and routed the body for a gotoh-wilkinson tremolo, and I LOVE IT!!  Of course I also made other mods for the electronics (now dual humbucker), so I guess it's not really a tele anymore.  :icon_jokercolor:

    Keeping a Wilkinson in Tune

wilky w/ bone nut, and gotoh staggered height tuners (on a tele neck).  lube w/ bone-nut-sauce.  stays in tune.

    grounding problem (maybe)

Brian, thanks.  That is an interesting article.  I guess it sort of makes sense, but...even if it is ME that is causing the interference, shouldn't that be canceled out by HB pickups?  I'll have to think about this more, and try some of this suggested experiments... Dipak

    grounding problem (maybe)

I can't get any info off of the guitarnuts site, all of the links go to various commercial sites.  Anyway, I tried directly through my digitech RP250 (with headphones, no amp), and still here the same noise, still goes away when I touch the strings.  I guess that the RP250 is not grounded...

    grounding problem (maybe)

ok, I tested the outlets with that ground-testing device, and they are grounded correctly.  Could this just be some kind of interference coming over the the AC power?  If so, why would touching the metal make it go away?  I just don't understand. :help:  Would a 'power-conditioner' help?

    grounding problem (maybe)

Here is more information...the 'buzz/noise' also goes away when I touch the metal case of my amplifier (gallien-krueger).  Is it possible that nothing is grounded?  or is this just normal?

    grounding problem (maybe)

My whole life, I've had two-humbucker guitars, which I prefer.  And my whole life, I've had this buzz/noise that goes away when I touch the strings.  I guess this is just normal, but... What does touching the strings actually do to get rid of that noise?  Is it possible for someone to make some...

    Routing for Wilkinson trem

I drilled and routed according to the template that I posted, and it worked fine.  I used the measurement calculator on Stewmac to figure the distance from the nut to the stud-holes.  I haven't posted pics of the finished product because I am redoing the electronics.  I am not happy with the hum.

I've heard bad things about push-push pots breaking.

    Routing for Wilkinson trem

thanks...I ended up making a routing template based on some drawings, got it validated by folks at warmoth, and then did the routing.  the routing and installation went fine...and I'll post pics as soon as I get the new guitar back from my technician (final neck/bridge setup).  I've attached the...
