Hey all, I'm going to be selling a bass pretty soon but I wanted to make sure it's in good shape before letting it go. it's got a fretless pau ferro fingerboard- would you guys suggest lemon oil for cleaning it up? It's an unfinished fingerboard as far as I know (no epoxy, polyurethane, etc.)

i love the feel of my bubinga bass neck- but id prefer a slimmer contour. anyone know how much a neck shave would cost me?

hmm, tung oil, eh? how will this affect the look/feel? and how could i apply it now that the bass is all put together? (tuners, strings, etc.)

I love the feel and look of my new bubinga neck but was wondering if I can make it look more vibrant with some type of oil finish? any suggestions? If I leave it alone the wood will age and generally change appearance anyway, correct?

anyone have insight on what kind of tones are yielded when two soapbar pickups are positioned close together near the bridge? I imagine the highs would be more pronounced, but thats just a guess. for example:

after weeks of waiting my new j bass neck finally came! the neck wood is bubinga and the fingerboard is pau ferro (=true love forever). I had envisioned myself screwing it on to my bass, throwing some strings on and rocking out. I didn't take into consideration all the adjustments needed. Please...
