    Voodoo finish

I used regular india ink that is generally used for drawing/inking as it's cheap and won't fade. I used a brush to put on 2 or 3 coats to be safe. Yeah, I have mixed feelings on how the end grain turned out, I maybe should have only applied the white filler to the area I wanted any grain to...

    Voodoo finish

I did a project with a warmoth body blank that was similar to that. Here is the link where I posted some pics: http://www.unofficialwarmoth.com/index.php?topic=2634.msg26528#msg26528

Warmoth body blank project is done!

Ha, feel free, one thing to keep in mind is use more than two coats of sealer like I did as the white filler doesn't like to sand itself off very easily. Otherwise it's easy to actually sand through the black india ink/paint, and then you have to make touch ups.

They're just a weird design inlays, as a scalopped neck, I could only get dots otherwise, so they're actually decals under the finish. I used india ink to get the body jet black, added some sealer, and then used white grain fill, and sanded the excess off.

Swamp ash body blank I cut to my design, with a scalloped birdseye maple neck and stainless steel frets. Bill Lawrence 500XL pickups, and a "radioshack" killswitch. Let me know what you think.

TronePros Locking Tune-O-Matic Bridge Doesn't Fit

What about rubbing a little candle wax in the entrance of the stud hole?  That's what I did to get them to pound in a little easier. sounds a little dirty i guess

    damn you screws!

I rub my guitar screws on a candle before installing them, they go in so much easier (not my original idea of course :laughing7:, but something to consider, they do go in/out a lot easier, and still hold firm

They just shipped my neck, now a last minute question

Hello, can't wait to get my build together and show you guys!  Anyways, I bought a body blank from Warmoth, and it is routed for a tune-o-matic bridge.  I was planning on bolting this on using a neck plate, and as Warmoth angled the neck pocket for this bridge, I had a question. Since it is...
