Even with small returns, the ROI is worthwhile considering the investment is miniscule. Getting 'bots to do it makes the investment even smaller, as time and bandwidth costs are borne by the hosts rather than the originator. So, if you hook one fish out of a million casts, it's worth it. Of course, idiots are much more common than one in a million, so...
