Would you paint this High Grade Flame Maple top with a Purple to Clear Burst?

I like the Purple to Clear Burst, but I cannot imagine how it will look on this top. What is your opinion?

Idk, the orangey-brown color on the sides might look kind of strange with purple on top... but it might look really cool!

It seems like a reasonable plan to me. I have a purple to clear burst, but on quilted maple. I have added a link so you can take a look through the pics etc.
