Wizard profile opinions - C or D shape?

Would like to hear some opinions about the Wizard neck profile.

I'm going to build a fingerstyle guitar with a piezo bridge pickup and with a 1-7/8 nut since its gonna have nylon strings.

Not a fan of the D-shape since my style requires thumb over fretboard (Merle Travis, Chet Atkins etc.)
According to the charts on the website it seems that the wizard is just a C-shape like the Standard Thin but just a bit thinner. I always sand down my acoustic necks almost paper-thin with no pronounced shoulders.

Would love to hear your thoughts.

Thanks

Yes it's more of the C shape like the standard thin only just a bit thinner. Not near as thin or flat D shape like Jackson or Ibanez...

In my experience, with an 1 11/16" nut, it is more of a C than a D shape, but it still does have some shoulder to it.  Maybe in between the two would be my best description.

I had a mid 2000s Washburn N4 with the same thickness neck and nut size but it had a more pronounced shouldered D-shape which made it feel quite a bit larger than the Wizard.

I also do the thumb-over thing quite a bit, and with smaller hands the Wizard is my favorite profile.  However, I don't know exactly how it would translate to a 1 7/8" nut. I'd expect there to be more shoulder with a wider neck assuming the same thickness.

i dunno what the hey a d is versus a c, but my wizard (aka '"gandalf's repose") feels very flat on the back. less peak than my Std Thins, so more shoulder. YMMV. it is basically the Citizen Kane of movies.

I have a Superwide neck with the Wizard profile on my thinline tele.
The extra width makes the neck feel surprisingly big!
I'm very glad and I didn't choose anything fatter.

I think along these lines too. I use the Wizard on all my Strat necks but at the 1 11/16" width and find it's more C than D at that width. I think the safe assumption is that the thickness wouldn't change but would add shoulder to the neck as the width is increased. That sounds like what you're looking for.

Really, the answer is to call and ask. The guys at Warmoth should be able to tell you exactly what to expect.
