anyone know where I can get a decent diagram for two humbuckers single universal volume pot and a three way switch? also wouldn't I just wire it to the three way and then to the volume pot and to the output? and in doing it this way would i want to ground the bridge to the back of the volume also?

Yup, sounds about right.  Use this diagram but omit the tone pot
