Wiring a 3-way switch

I'm wiring two humbuckers to a 3-way, master volume and master tone and my diagram shows a wire leading from the volume pot to 4 nodes on the switch.  How do I form a connection between these nodes?  Bare wire? Insulated?

You can't use bare wire, when you close up the bare wires will touch/short things out, you have to use insulated wiring for all connections when wiring a guitar.

As long as it's the Fender style switch (which I am guessing it is from the description), you CAN use bare wire to join the four terminals on the switch.
You will find this wiring on pretty much every Fender Tele...

All the remaining wire must have insulation of course...
