Will Vintage Tuners fit Gotoh/Grover Ream Option?

Hello! I purchased a neck and chose the Gotoh/Grover ream since I primarily use Gotoh (modern style) tuners. However after placing the order I was considering using a "Vintage" style tuner which has it's own specific ream of 11/32". Since the Gotoh/Grover option tapers to 11/32" on the headstock end of the hole, would it be safe to assume a set of Gotoh Vintage tuners would still work even though the hole opens up wider inside the shaft? Would there be too much slop, or would the bushing be "snug" enough?

I have not tried it, but I would imagine too much slop
