How difficult should it be to get the studs in. Should I be able to get some of it in by hand and finished by hammering it in, or do I need to hammer it in all the way?

This is on a body that has the holes pre-drilled for that specific bridge right?
If so, they should go in very snug but don't need hammering.

When I helped a friend build his VIP, it was drilled for the 510 one piece bridge. It fit in perfectly by applying steady pressure, but we did not use a hammer!
Just think what would happen if you missed!  :tard:
If I remember right, we put a guitar pick on it side and used it with a chunk of wood to push it in.

It's predrilled but it doesn't seem to want to fit.
Also, by hammering I didn't mean just taking a hammer and swinging away at it lol. I meant like putting something over the stud and slowing tapping it in.

Never mind, I got it in. I do have another question though.

Once in, should it stick out a tiny bit or should it be flush with the body? :icon_scratch:

It should be flush. I'd say that a LITTLE protrusion is acceptable. Flush would be best.

This is when you get the hammer in both hands, raise it above your head, Scream! and... :headbang1:

Don't forget to post pics  :icon_biggrin:
