I'm ruminating on a build, and I'm trying to solve a problem: when in doubt, ask the board!
I bought a poplar soloist 1-hum body and have a Gotoh OFR for it that was lying around homeless. I'm really wanting a 1 7/8" neck on it, but I'm not sure of my options in terms of locking things down. So far it seems like locking tuners is as far as I can go. As far as I can tell, no one makes a SIX string locking nut at that width.
Speaking of which, anyone know where we can find 2" graphite nut blanks, Fender or Gibson style?
I may end up fabricating some kind of behind-the-nut contraption, but I'd rather not.
Suggestions? Advice? Links?
