So I went and got it
actually we were at a local mall, I was shopping with the wife, you know honey do stuff so i can buy mire guitar stuff. We walked out of bed bath and beyond and I went into the music store to browse over the vinyl selection, Oh look a used Freddie Fender and a Old War one, and what, hey a Funkadelic SCORE< NO DOUBLE SCORE ON THAT, Anyways Missy walks up with the new Santana CD and I decide , WHY NOT.

I have just spent the last 3 hours with the amp cranked going over a few of the cuts, who knew, rapping Back in Black, a very tasty While My Guitar Gently Weeps and a version of Bang a Gong that rocks, plus Riders On the Storm and Little wing.

Some tasty remakes, If you like Carlos and his latest few releases it is worth getting. I never have had so much fun playing Weeps as I just did figuring out Carlos's version.

I got it, I like it for the most part. While my guitar gently weeps was very well done, I must agree sir.

Overall, I was very pleased with the CD.  Just enough twist to make it interesting, but not too far off that they appear to be hokey covers.

that is how I feel, I really like it, some interesting twist here and there, but mainly it is those songs just done by a great guitarist, Not some band trying to turn them into new hits.
I guess you just have to turn loose and let the music flow.
After all, do you do exact copies of a solo? I do not, I hit the important parts and the rest is up to interpretation.

I would say it takes the case on tasteful renditions
just watching him play that, walking the base and melodyline at once while playing chords, he has talent galore

Fantastic Post

Yeah, I'd say he has a little time in grade, there. I'm not usually a fan of the ukulele, but there's no looking away from that piece of work.

I would buy a CD of that quality Yuke music to put in my eclectic are of my collection. I mean I have some YoYoMa, lots of Native American stuff, Celtic, Bagpipes, and stuff along that line but it needs to be really good. It actually has gotten large enough to have sub divided. Harp music Really gets me moving

I think the novelty is the instrument.  It's what happens when a Jazz Guitarist plays a Uke.  That "Weeps" rendition is very jazzy to me and remniscent of Tuck Andress; a walking bass line and melody simulataneously.  Aroun 2:30, if you didn't see it, you'd swear it was 2 instruments.

Well when I Play the Rhythm for weeps I keep a walking bass line going, but never tried to do a melody line at the same time. the chord progression just cries for the Bass walk up when you are playing it alone, so you eventually just play it that way always. I guess the effort of that melody line is what separates they boys from men, I have a project to work on now.
