Which preamp for MM bass pickup?

Okay four-stringers, which preamp should I use with a four-string musicman-style bass?

Aguilar OBP-3, Bartolini NTMB 2.5 A/P, STC 3M4, or Audere?  Or something else?

Have you tried it without a preamp?
I freaking love the sound of mine passive. In fact, I had my Warmoth routed for a double battery box, I bought a pre, and decided I liked it so much that I sold the preamp.

I'm using an OBP-1 with my SD MM pickup.  Sounds great!
