forgive me if i got argumentative. if you spent time on a mill or lathe you would know about backlash and the planning to keep things acurate, also for the purposes of building a guitar the diy routers are plenty accurate you just need to know thebest way to approach things.
endmills can work but care must be taken by the operator especially if you are cutting ebony or something similar. cb said there are better ways, i mearly brought up some reasons that it is not ideal.
edit: it may be better to cut with an even smaller mill than the slot size and broaden the slot. experiment to see if climbing cuts or convetional cuts give less tear out and stick to one. but if you use a smaller mill expect to break a few.
