Hello, I'm doing a fender clone neck for a strat, and have an unfinished, maple/rosewood neck. I will be spraying nitro cellulose lacquer, the stuff StewMac sells.
I want the black oval painted truss rod hole on the headstock ala fender. Given incompatibilities between nitro and many paints, and the fact that I barely need a couple drops for the job, what's the best way to accomplish this - and is it done by hand with brush, masking off the wood in the oval shape?
thanks for any tips or ideas.
