I just think its interesting that relicing, while its been around forever, seems to have gained popularity around the same time the rat rod craze hit the car world:
Although, rat rodding's popularity has increased in the past few years due to the lack of cash floating around, and people's urge to have at least something to run around in, whereas relicing comes at a premium.
