what looks best on rear routed thin line

I've got a blue burst thinline coming. Its rear routed.. I ordered a white pearl moter of toliet seat pick guard the hybrerd version but now iam thinking maybe one of the little crome mounting rings stewmac has. what do you guys think? I worry about scartches on the finish but would also like to leave as much of the maple exposed so can't decided :icon_scratch:

I personally would go with the pup mounting ring.  Alternatively, you can directly mount the pickup to the underlying wood.

You can get a clear guard made using the toilet seat as a template. I've had a few guards made by this guy, his work is very good and he's quick.
