I've had this wenge and padauk fretless neck for a few years now and decided it needed a little bit of straightening up. I took it off and found the attached. None of my wrenches fit it.

It's 5.33mm with converts to 7/32" !!!

Anyone?

AFAIK a hex at the heel on a Warmoth neck is usually 7/32", but in practice I'd just hunt around until I find one that fits (and then stop hunting), so couldn't say for sure.

Truss rod nuts/bolts often require a substantial amount of torque to turn, so a wrench that doesn't fit properly is either going to get wrecked itself, wreck the fastener, or both. Once that's done, it becomes a waking nightmare trying to fix it. I just went through that repairing an older neck where one of the owners somewhere along the line tried cheating with wrong tool, and it was no fun at all. If you can't find the right tool for the job, keep looking. Anything less is almost guaranteed to cause you grief.

Kevin is right about getting the right size wrench for the job. Any more, I keep a sets of SAE and metric allen wrenches handy. It seems like just about anything can be either these days. It doesn't hurt to have a set of star allens around, either.

Exactly, as common as SHCS (socket head cap screws) are these days, everybody should have a hex key set (allen wrenches).
