What is "Mtng Hls"?

I have done a search on the forum and found no answer.  There is also no information in the "String Nuts" descriptions that I can tell.  When I 'configure and buy' a Showcase neck, it offers two options for Floyd nut prep--"Shlf Only" and "Mtng Hls".  I assume that the first is just leveling the area for the nut and the second also includes drilling and counterboring the back of the neck for the mounting screws.  Why would I get the option?  Are some Floyds sold with mounting screws from the back and others from the front?  I know that I had that type of mounting on my old JS100.  Is this only useful if you get something other than an OFR?

I found this auction on eBay:

It looks like this one has screws in it to mount from the top, but there appears to be another bag with two screws like the ones used to mount it from the back.  Can they be mounted either way?  Is there benefit to mounting one way or another?  I seem to remember that these holes were a weak spot on old Ibanez necks.  I welcome any information that you can give me before I order the wrong thing.  It doesn't appear that this is something that you specify in the trem order, just the nut width.

I got that far.  I meant what is the option on the neck configuration?  If I order a neck with mounting holes, does it come drilled and counterbored from the back of the neck for the locking nut, or is it top drilled?  If I order an Original Floyd, do I need to specify if it should have back mounted or face mounted locking nut.  I am GUESSING that if I get an OFR, and it comes with an R4 nut (for example), it is for a back mounted neck and therefore requires that I get a neck configured with the "Mtng Hls" option instead of the "Shlf Only" option.  Is that a correct guess?
