Ok, now that that's out of my system...

It's mahogany with a pau ferro fretboard and abalone inlays.  Warhead headstock, SS 6105 frets, '59 Roundback, 1 5/8" nut width and a satin finish to top it off.   :headbang:  I was going to paint the headstock to match the body, but I'm thinking about leaving it as is.  Thoughts?

As usual, everything looks much better in person

Darn!  I can't believe someone scooped my idea before I could build it!  Warhead + Tele = Awesome!!

That actually does fit well together, Always been a big fan of the Warhead

Looks great!
I am also a fan of the warhead!! it would look great on a carved top soloist (or a carved top tele :icon_biggrin: )

but is it just me, or does it seem like evere single warhead that has been posted here looks slightly different???

They quite possible are.  They're still cut by hand as they haven't officially added them yet.  I kind of like that fact.

Oh, I forgot.  I actually had a question.  How do you adjust the truss rod on these necks?  There's a screw on the bottom of the neck, but that gets blocked off once you install the neck...

How do you adjust the truss rod on these necks?

In the time-honored Fender tradition - you take the neck off. It's worked for millions of Stratocasters and Telecasters, and it will work for you. The good news is, if you bought a modern Warmoth pro neck you won't have to re-adjust it every time the weather changes, you change string gauges, for the full moon etc., unlike a real Fender.

That's retarded.  Oh well.  I guess I could be just as upset with Gotoh for not making a lefty version of their adjuster.  But being upset at non-lefty things is getting kind of old.  And like you said, at least I won't have to readjust.  :guitaristgif:

Usually you would have a rout at the base of the neck and a corresponding cutout in the pickguard, to have access to the truss rod nut with the neck mounted. It looks like that isn't possible in this case because your neck pickup is so close to the neck pocket. You'll have to live with that, I'm afraid. Still, some years ago adjusting a truss rod without removing the neck was not even an option, and probably in those days necks needed adjusting a lot more often than this one will. At least this way you're sure to release string tension before adjusting neck relief. Of course you will be in a lot more trouble still if you try to remove the neck without releasing string tension first...

ha.  very funny.  It really does look better than that pic, I promise.  In that picture, it looks really light and washed out.  In person, it's much deeper and it has a nice (but not overpowering/obnoxious) metallic going on.  While I appreciate the look of a nice natural wood finish, it's definitely not something I'd ever want for myself.  I'll take better pictures once it's all done.  The pickups won't be in until next week so I plan to have it finished by the first week of September.
