I have an Ebony fretboard on my Wenge neck and it is a killer combo......

Wenge is a funny wood. To look at it, you'd never in a million years think it would make good neck meat. But, nothing could be further from the truth. It's really something you have to play with to appreciate. Then, put an Ebony 'board on it? Phbbt. You'll love it. You almost don't even have to think about it. Just do it.

But, the anxious side is that Warmoth makes some really exotic woods available that nobody else does, so you're always wondering. Pau Ferro and Satine (Bloodwood) topped with Ebony are also just sex on a stick. What's a mother to do?

Buy examples of them all. You won't be sorry.
