Weird Alternate Tunings

A, E, A, D, G, B.
Good for chords and lower rythym playing, especially blues or metal.

It's the tuning Steve Stills uses in "Suite: Judy Blue Eyes"

It has this great modal drone that's just fun to play around with.
The only other alternate tuning I use is open E for slide.

on a 12 string I like to tune the higher low E to a B, powerchord in a string.

Dont know if it qualifies as wierd, but Im playing parallel fourths right now.  Occasionally miss open string chords, but its really kind of liberating.
