"Warmoth Made in USA" metal decals

I always used to put one of the "Warmoth Made in USA" decals on the headstock of my Warmoth builds.  With a build pending, I went to the Warmoth site to order one of these.  I don't see them anywhere.  Are they no longer available?  I thought these were so much cooler than the standard decal.

They've been out of stock for some time now. I've been in contact with them about it, and was told they're working on a replacement but it was going slowly. No guess as to availability. This was several months ago, so it might be worth a call to see where things stand. We're not the only ones who prefer that emblem to the cheesy little stickers they include with the necks.

Now that I think about it, did they phase these out back around 2009?  I think I remember something like that, now.  I e-mailed customer service yesterday and it was confirmed that the metal logo decals are no longer available. 

That is really too bad.  Those were uniquely awesome.  Are you listening, Warmoth?  Bring them back!  :glasses9:

I don't know if they "phased them out", but they may have stopped buying them around then. I was able to buy them until sometime last year, but I think they were NOS. The glue was getting a little iffy and it was nearly impossible to get the "Made in USA" part of the label to stick. Seems to me somebody there said back then that they had to buy them in pretty large quantities (like 5000 at a crack), so it wasn't something that they replenished on a regular basis.

They do need to come up with something nice soon, though. Nobody likes a blank headstock, and stickers/decals look tacky over a finished part. Who wants to pay $300 to $700 for a neck and put a sticker on it?

I hear a few people saying they have been hoarding them.  I wish I would have thought that far ahead, but then, I swore I would never build another guitar.  LOL.  Anyone have a gold one they want to sell?  If so, PM me.  I even looked on E-bay but didn't find any.

They look like just the folks to use! I get the impression they do job lots, though. May not be able to just buy sheets of letters or whatever. I'll call them later today and see what I can find out.

It is as I feared - it's a custom job shop. There's a setup charge of $185, given proper vector artwork. Then, production is a minimum of $350 for gold/chrome, and $390 for smoked black. A logo or whatever approximately 1/2" x 3" would return about 60 pieces, so you do the math. Takes about 4 weeks. These aren't the embossed type Warmoth used to sell, these are more like a foil transfer. They're designed for product labelling, like you might see on a piano face. They don't sell loose artwork, like sheets of letters you could work with on your own.

So, it looks like roughly $10 per emblem/logo in small quantities. Not too bad, if you'll use 'em up. I didn't ask about quantity pricing.
