Some locking tuners can fix that up in a jiffy.Doughboy said:I didn't used to think this, as I have a few vintage none floyd strats, but the fact that I only tune my floyds ONCE & they're good to go for weeks at a time & the none floyd guitars need tweaking after every song, makes me agree with you whole heartedly.

Doughboy said:Anyway, all this talk about fretless guitars has started a fire in my belly that can't wait for a Warmoth build. So, I'm taking one of my guitars, a neck thru custom build strat w/ a bass wood body, maple neck, ebony fingerboard & a floyd & having it de-fretted & line markers put in.

just remember, the line is only an approximation. The "real" note is somewhere else on the board...
While impressive for what it is, it's just a bunch of scale runs. Kinda boring.... :dontknow:Doughboy said:Anyway, all this talk about fretless guitars has started a fire in my belly that can't wait for a Warmoth build. This way, I can try it out much sooner than later. This guitar needs re-fretting, so if it doesn't work out, I can slap some new frets on there & all is well. But, I have a feeling that a fretless guitar is going to open up a whole new world of tonal possibilites for me. Can't wait to try some Alain Caron licks on my six string.
