Warmoth Custom Control Cavity Covers?

Hi, this is my first post here and I just need some help.

On the Warmoth site it states that you can opt for a custom control cover by contacting them. I'm wondering if anyone on here's has done that and can tell me what exactly they mean by "custom"? Custom color, custom material etc... I have a Mary Kaye body being made by them and want a matching cover.

As nobody else has stepped in... I don't remember seeing  that option - if I had I would probably have ordered one! My guess would be that the custom options would be a choice of the scratchplate materials they offer, rather than wooden covers. But, I am guessing so best bet is to call or email Warmoth direct.

If they don't offer one I wonder if they'd be willing to provide a template, so you could have one made.

There are lots of results if you search for 'wood scratchplate', so I'd try contacting any that you like the look of to find out if they'd make a control cover if you sent them the original. Or diy - just use the original as a template - or a template for a template anyway.

I would contact Warmoth as suggested on that page and ask what options are available.

From experience, here's what I've NOT seen.
A Flame Maple Replacement for the 1995 Ibanez RG series.


Here's what I have seen.
A White Pearl cavity cover for my Warmoth rear routed Z body.

You can have cavity cover made from any of the pickguard material we sell.

Warmoth does not do wooden cavity covers.
