Warhead SSB Nut Width

Hello All.  I've wondered for a while now, why do the SSB Warhead necks only have a single option for nut width?  I'm not a huge fan of the J-Bass nut width myself.  Does anyone know something that I've missed?

Not being a bass player, I'm not familiar with what a SSB bass head is. Single Side Band? Same Sex Bass? Dunno.

Wait, I just went and looked - must be Short Scale Bass.

I don't know why they wouldn't offer different nut widths on those, but I do know that the Warhead is a derivative design. In the guitar section, you can have any Strat neck re-cut to a Warhead for $45. I wonder if you called them they could do the same thing with the traditional Fender bass heads? it would widen your selection dramatically. Worth a 2 minute call.

I see that the builder only shows Warhead for the short-scale bass necks, and doesn't provide a nut-width option either.  You probably cannot get another nut width for the short-scale parts, as that would involve some non-trivial CNC programming.  Sounds like a phone-call or email directly to Warmoth is where your real answer lies.

Short scale basses are a niche offering. Warmoth currently offers something like 5 or 6 SSB body styles, and two neck styles. That's a pretty good palette for a niche offering like a short scale bass. There is only one nut width currently, and no option for anything else. As Bagman67 says, offering other nut widths for these specialty necks would involve some non-trivial programming. If the demand grows to a point where the expense of the R&D is justified then it may happen, but there are currently no plans for it that I'm aware of.
