I'm placing the order tomorrow. here's a mockup pic thanks to DangerousR6, and below it are the specs. I found out that this will be the first production Jaguar Bass body that Warmoth has ever made and/or sold to the public! ^_^ SUPER excited to get this put together and plugged in! it's gonna ROCK! also, a HUGE thanks goes out to Eric Wylie! he was a freaking saint through all this. I changed my mind dozens of times over super small details to huge details all the way up until payment, and he was SUPER polite and friendly all the way through. he also helped me get the Jag body. without him, I would not have been able to get this ordered. so, BIG thanks go to him, a class act.

and here I thought it would be a Vincent Black shadow...

ask and ye shall recieve. ^_^

I took that shot at the Barber Motorsport Park Museum.
Cool, my dad takes a trip there every year. Him and  his buddies also go to the Mid-Ohio vintage races and swap meet every year.... :icon_thumright:

The Vincent Black Shadow is one of my favorite bands...

Just putting that out there.

That is one loud looking bass!

Whenever I hear "Vincent", I see a picture like this below - I blame childhood tv :toothy12:

Now that's the kind of artwork, I can't compete with in Hannahs art competition, I think we got a winner

"Hannahs art competition"? what is that? if it's something about original artwork, I can't take credit here. it's a rare Eddie Van Halen design, but using red instead of white. I was originally going to do a black and red Frankenstrat, but I thought it was too common. then I came across this, and I loved the design. it was still a reference to EVH, so it was fine with me. but yea, I can't take credit for this design. I wish I could, though. it's awesome. we'll just see if I can manage to paint it.

also Dangerous, if you want, I have a ton of photos from some races at multiple places that you can forward on to your dad.

it's a so far non existant contest that may not have enough support to work but a great idea none the less that was shot down and battled over recently.

back story, we have had two annual raffles where we buy in X dollars. you can buy in up to 5 times and for each X dollars you get a number, the winner is decided by the winning numbers in the lottery for california i think. winnings are to be used to build a warmoth axe and shown off on the board.

the contest was suggested for people to compete for a prize where they would build the guitar in there contest design. people accused her of basically attempting to hijack the drawing and replace it with something where she'd have an edge, and found every flaw that exists in comptition like the ability to cheat, blah blah blah. my personal feeling is that the contestants will be limited in comparison to the drawing and therefore the buy in will be too big to end up with enough to build your dream axe. but we never could get a tally of possible contributors and contestants because of the uncalled for atacks on peoples charecters. it turned ugly.

but anyway cool concept for a bass but id never play something that ugly. i still like it. just not my style if that makes sense

ah, gotcha. and no biggie. I like the way it looks, and it's just a mock up drawing atm, so the finished product should look better. also, the bass after this will be something very clean but still unique. no word on that, yet. it's a while away.

so, when I said it's "officially been ordered" I guess I meant it's "officially on hold". lol. I've found out some information about this build, so I'm gonna wrap it back up and let Warmoth finish the bass. I don't want to screw it up with my crappy lack of painting skills. details will be released as soon as the order is in the books. shouldn't be too long, though.

im really looking forward to ordering my build. I've been desperate for a strat for ages, totally went off ibanez and streight into my strat style 80's pop, like my parker though definitely a beast for those gigging situations but i really really really miss the sound of a bridge and middle pickup together. Its the stratiest of all strat sounds  :toothy12:

bump for an update to the original post. go check it out. also, the order has officially been placed! I'm shipping the pickups off tomorrow. so excited!
